Cyclocross Handbook was at the Cycle Show yesterday to find the best cross gear on display. The first thing that caught the eye was this amazing hand built frame from Field Cycles.

The paint job on this bike is crazy, all the masking is done by hand. This is a prototype, but if you want one, they make them to order

Lots less exclusive, but very capable nonetheless, Vitus have a new full carbon cross frame for 2018. By the looks of the tyres on this bike, they are also intending it for gravel use too.

There’s not a massive amount of clearance here, so this frame might not be perfect for heavy December days in a field, but it’s likely to be very good value for money.

Vitus also launched their new adventure bike at the show. This model has the increasingly popular 650B wheel size with 47mm tyres for rough terrain.

If bikepacking is your bag, then this might be the bike for you. A Cannondale Super X with a Lefty suspension fork and 650 tyres.

This bike was used for this years’ Torino Nice Rally. A ride CXHandbook fancies sometime.

A much closer look at the new Canyon Inflite can be found HERE.

It’s looks have been devisive, but it’s pretty neat piece of kit.

The Ridley X Night get a new colourway, but not much else for 2018.

Orange Bikes cross/gravel/all round bike.

Nothing new for the 2018 Colnago, but it was a popular bike at the show.
