Among the bikes under the Forme gazebo at the national trophy was their 2018 Calver. With this bike, Forme aimed to produce the lightest Aluminium race frame on the market. It weighs 1.2kg, so it looks like they might have cracked that.


The deep section wheels and FMB tubs on this bike don’t come as standard, but they set off the subtle graphics really nicely.


That’s some impressive clearance up near the seat post cluster. Perfect for heavy, sticky days like we had in Shrewsbury.


SRAM 1x is becoming the Cyclocross standard. Shimano still haven’t stepped up with a 1x Cyclocross or road setup, though I understand it’s on it’s way.


Black, tan and polished alu is a tough combo to beat.


Flat mount discs and thru axles front and back. There’s no canti option in the Calver range, which makes me wonder, are any manufacturers offering a canti option in 2018?


Cable routing is internal for the most part. There’s some exposed cable here and there, but it should go some way to keeping the worst of the muck and water out.
