Amongst the new bikes in Baal this weekend were the Canyon CFs all the Corendon Circus riders are on this for the rest of the season. Cyclocross Handbook took a closer look at the bike Mathieu van der Poel rode to victory.

Canyon’s distinctive integrated bar and stem looks great slammed all the way to the headtube the way MVDP has it set up.

Slightly backswept bars allow for a slightly longer top tube and a larger space within the frame.

The unusual shape of the seat cluster aims to achieve the same thing, making shouldering the bike much easier.

Some interesting angles and lines on this frame. It looks mega in red.

Brand new Dura Ace everything.

Front to back.

Black on black Dura Ace wheels finish off a stealthy minimal finish to the whole bike.

In case you want to order Mathieu’s bike for yourself.

These aren’t branded, but they look like Shimano XTR pedals. The prototype pedals which seemed to be everywhere last year seem to have been mothballed.

Dugast Rhinos for the ankle deep mud of Baal.

In it’s natural habitat.
