National Trophy, Peel Park, Bradford

Yorkshire feels like the home of British cyclocross and Peel Park had an amazing atmosphere. The course is amazing, probably the closest to a continental race as I’ve seen with a couple of big muddy descents. All that was missing were bouncy barriers to catch the riders and some terrible Flemish pop. A bigger crowd than elsewhere added to the feeling that this is a step up for UK cross. There’s been lots of rain in the North too, so conditions were very heavy and slippery. Can’t wait for the next National Trophy Bradford. If you haven’t already, head over to the Cyclocross Handbook Facebook and give it a like, thanks!
