NDCXL, Round 11, Chetwynd Barracks

Over the weekend, we learnt about the terrible news about the loss of Charlie Craig. The Cyclocross family is a very closely knit one, and I’m sure there will be many people reading this who will join Cyclocross Handbook in sending their deepest condolences to Nick, Sarah and Tom at such an awful time.

The final round of the Notts and Derby league, and the final league round of the season for Cyclocross Handbook, took place in very cold but dry conditions. It seems every race this season has threatened rain but it’s never quite happened, so most races have been dry and fast. With the Nationals already taken care of, and the Worlds next weekend there was a sense of things winding down in Chetwynd, the racing was just as hotly contested as ever though. Having mentioned the Worlds, keep your eyes open for CXHandbook coverage of the World Championships on the social media channels, then on this site over the weekend and into next week. I’ve got lots planned. I’ll be frantically trying to keep up with everything thats happening on FACEBOOK TWITTER and INSTAGRAM so give them a follow and get stuck in.
